Jiujitsu in Combat

LOT of truth here – discussion spans military and police applications. In a combat environment, not everyone is a combatant – and not everyone you encounter in a tactical situation is a threat, or a potential deadly threat.

Another advantage to grappling in general – and jiujitsu in particular, developed as it has from an armed combatives – is that the control it offers, either for momentary advantage or positional dominance, allows for In-Fight Decision Making as to whether to escalate force – including accessing or using weapons – or de-escalate to continued control and capture.
